March 2009 - Barbados, March 2009 – Innotech Services Limited’s work on Kensington Oval, one of the most famous sporting grounds in the world, has been completed.  This marks the end of another phase of this historic cricket venue’s extensive legacy redevelopment.

Kensington Oval has been the host of cricket matches since 1882 and plans to floodlight the ground had been ongoing for quite some time.   Innotech Services Limited in collaboration with specialist Stadium Lighting Contractor, Abacus Lighting Systems of the United Kingdom, were the contractors awarded the upgrade project works.  Innotech were responsible for the construction of the boundary wall and containment for services for the floodlights as well as the large concrete mast bases for the four 180 ft. high masts.

The completion of the flood lighting system certainly improves cricket for the players and supporters alike and also opens up the venue for an array of evening activities, the first of which will be the Sir Everton Weekes Twenty/20 Match which will commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of Sir Everton’s five consecutive test hundreds.
