March 2010 - Barbados, March 2010 – Innotech Services Ltd., proudly announces the completion of the new Administration Building at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. This amazing new building is yet another fine example of the ability of our dedicated team of professionals at Innotech Services Limited, to deliver superior quality structures and foster lasting client relationships.

The unique design of this building was conceived by Mr. Maurice Clarke of Maurice Clarke Architecture Inc., and fittingly expresses the history and connection between Ghana and Barbados for the commemoration of the bicentennial of the abolition of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Designed along the mode of the traditional Ashanti Stool with an African architectural motif representative of the past, the building stands five storeys high.  An additional two levels comprising of offices plus a scenic staff lounge and lunchroom on the fifth floor have been added to its sleek and modern layout.

Each stool of the Ashanti carries a symbol with a different philosophical meaning and that chosen for this distinct building was the Adinkra sign “Gye Nyame” which is symbol of omnipotence and immortality of God and is also a rallying call to connect spirituality to the power of the mind in the decision making process.

The new Administration Building will be officially opened on April 16, 2010, by the Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Ronald Jones
