Barbados Water Authority Headquarters - Progress
November 2014 - Building A is the main 3 storey office building. All render is complete and 95% of windows and internal partitions have been installed. Prime to all areas is complete. Floor and wall tiling is advancing well and is 50% complete throughout the building. Gypsum to ceilings is complete and 1st coat to walls has started. Electrical, plumbing and A/C works are progressing well on all floors. Roof sheeting is complete, roof membrane has started and will finish this month. Lift installation has started and will be complete within 4 weeks.
Building B which will house a store room, staff washrooms and the procurement department - All render and prime to internal walls is complete. Window installation is approx 50% complete. Floor and wall tiling is progressing well in all areas. Ceiling grid has commenced and plumbing/electrical works are also very advanced. Manufacture and installation of cabinetry is also in progress.
Building C will house the gym, kitchen, cafeteria, training room and washrooms. Window installation is about 90% complete and prime of walls is complete. Ceiling framework and grid has commenced. Floor and wall tiling is well advanced and electrical/plumbing works are progressing.
Building D is a materials check point for trucks leaving and entering the building. All render and roof sheeting is complete. Prime to internal walls and floor tiles are also complete. Window installation will start shortly.
Building E consists of 2 buildings, one for fuelling of vehicles and the other is the main workshop which consists of 2 heavy duty lifts for the repairs of equipment. All render and roof sheeting is complete. Prime to walls has started and electrical/plumbing works are progressing. Window installation will start shortly.
Building F is a small steel structure for executive parking which has been erected on concrete columns and roof sheeting is complete.
External works for the entire site are at an advanced stage with graded levels and kerbs installed throughout most of the site prior to asphalt. Surface water and waste drainage is continuing to be installed as well as all utility duct work and pipes, testing of all installed services is ongoing. Courtyard walkway is complete and 2no. fountains are well advanced.
